The 2nd Sensitisation Seminar on “China-Caribbean Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum” was held on Thursday, 13th January, 2005 at the Knutsford Court Hotel, Kingston. This seminar was jointly organised by the Port Authority of Jamaica, Jamaica Promotions Authority (JAMPRO) and the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica. Over 100 local business people were present at the seminar. In view of the significance of the Forum and Trade Fair, the Jamaican organizers invited the participation of the private sector in the event to strengthen the cooperation between the Chinese and Jamaican business communities in trade and investment.
The representatives of the Chinese Embassy in Jamaica and the Investment Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Commerce of the P.R. China were present at the seminar.
