| Ministerial Coordinating Conference on Preparation for the Second China-Caribbean Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum |

On June 11th, Ma Xiuhong, Vice-Minister of Commerce, hosted the first ministerial coordinating conference on preparation for the Second China-Caribbean Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum (hereinafter the “Forum”). Representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture, the People’s Bank of China, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ), the General Administration of Civil Aviation, the National Tourism Administration (CNTA), Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT),Import and Export Bank, China Development Bank, Export Credit Insurance Company and relevant departments of Ministry of Commerce attended the conference.
At the conference, Vice-Minister Ma reviewed the achievements of China-Caribbean economic and trade cooperation since the first Forum and made some specific arrangements for the following preparation of invitation, achievements and activities.
All the attending units promised to closely cooperate with each other to form an integrated power and to complete the preparation successfully. Furthermore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, expressed that they would make every effort to work together with MOFCOM for the assurance of a success of the Forum. The Ministry of Agriculture, National Tourism Administration and the AQSIQ suggested that they would initiatively cooperate with the hosting units to undertake seminars on cooperation of agriculture and fishery, and tourism as well as related activities. |
