On Sep.6th, when Chen Jian, assistant minister of the MOFCOM, respectively met with Lane, Minister of State for Finance of Bahama, Marlica, minister for Trade and Industry of Suriname and Marlin, deputy minister of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, he gave his welcome to them leading delegations to China to take part in the Second China-Caribbean Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum and the Eleventh China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT); and hoped to gain further understanding between two sides in virtue of the Forum and CIFIT, enhance economic and trade cooperation and achieve mutual benefit and win-win situation.
While meeting Lane, Chen Jian expressed that there was great development potentiality for China-Bahama economic and trade cooperation, and China was willing to further deepen their cooperation in the related fields. Lane said the government of Bahama cherished its friendly relationship with China, hoping to strength cooperation with China in such fields as trade, investment, tourism and the development of human resources.
While meeting Marlica, Chen Jian expressed that China attached great importance on developing mutually beneficial economic and trade cooperation with Suriname, expecting to actively carry out various kinds of economic and trade cooperation with Suriname such as promoting strong Chinese enterprises to invest in Suriname. Marlica said, the government of Suriname appreciated the economic and technological assistance given by China for so many years, hoping two nations could strengthen the cooperation in the fields such as trade, agriculture joint-venture cooperation, and practical technological training and tourism.
While meeting Marlin, Chen Jian said China has paid great attention to developing economic and trade relation with Cuba and actively encouraged Chinese and Cuban enterprises to further enlarge and deepen cooperation on the basis of equality and mutual benefit. Marlin highly praised the important function of Sino-Cuba bilateral economic and trade relation and China-Caribbean Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum and hoped that two nations could continue to enhance their investment and trade cooperation in the fields such as mechanical and electric equipment, biological technology and medical and health. |
