Jiang Zengwei Met with two Nations’ Guests of Caribbean

On Sep. 6th, when Jiang Zengwei, deputy minister of the MOFCOM, respectively met with Mottley, deputy prime minister and minister of Economic Affairs Department of Barbados, Lovell, minister of Tourism of Antigua Barbuda, he gave his welcome to the representative delegations of Barbados and Antigua Barbuda to China to take part in the Second China-Caribbean Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum and the Eleventh China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) and expected to gain further understanding between two sides in virtue of the platforms of the Forum and CIFIT, seek cooperation opportunities and drive further development of China-Barbados and China-Antigua Barbuda economic and trade cooperation.
Mottley expressed the government of Barbados has constantly insisted in the position of “one China” and cherished China-Barbados friendly relationship. She appreciated China’s long-term selfless assistance and vigorous support to the economic and social development of Barbados and proposed suggestions on the enhancement of China-Barbados cooperation in the new fields such as two-way investment, resources development and the utilization of renewable energy.
Lovell high appraised the cooperation and friendship between China and Antigua Barbuda, and held that the close economic and technological cooperation between two nations can not only actively drive the economic and trade relation betwen two countries, but also effectively promote the competitive force of domestic relevant industries in Antigua Barbuda. He expected to share economic experience with China and continued to facilitate the cooperation and communication between China and Antigua Barbuda in tourism industry.
